Free Melbourne Orientation Tour |
||||
Free Melbourne Orientation Tour What better way to start and its completely free! From Southern Cross Station, your guide will provide you with a selection of Melbourne tourist and transport guides. We will then provide some additional explanation of those guides from a Melburnian's perspective. Particular attention will be focused on getting around Melbourne - the free transport options, how to use trams, trains and buses like a local! We take a tram ride to show you how to buy a ticket, we move through a train turnstile to check the train system and more. When we mean free, we mean no tips are requested or accepted unlike some 'free' tours run in other cities! (Well we would accept a coffee if kindly offered - what Melburnian would turn down a great local coffee!)

All through the tour you will get information
about Melbourne - how it started, who founded it, etc.
Its a fascinating story that often many locals and
organisations get wrong! We have lists of things to do,
tours to take based on our personal experience. Free!
Free Melbourne Orientation Tours start at Southern Cross Station, beside the blue bike pod on Spencer St on Friday mornings.
This is a walking
tour so wear suitable footwear and please arrive 10 minutes
early to ensure the tour starts on time. It takes 1 hour
from 8:30am so you have a full day to take advantage.
Bookings are required so we have enough information and handouts
for everyone. Bring water on hot days and remember our guides
are First Aid qualified. Note we can cater for those with disabilities
or families with children younger that 13yo but please
contact us prior to the day. |
