21st January 2010 New Budget Tour Launched! Pixel 9 Building - Carbon Neutral Grocon have started construction of what could be the world's first carbon neutral building. 8th December 2009 Telstra sells $1M sculpture for $1 Telstra has sold the Distant Conversations sculpture outside the Exhibition office for $1 despite buying it for over $500,000. Read more here. Global No Pants Subway Ride A group called Improv Everywhere (Acting via improvisation) in New York started the 'No pants' subway ride a few years ago to entertain the public. However its not being held here but it is in Adelaide and Sydney and we thought we would mention it here anyway. 7th December 2009 Council House 2 Building Materials Critique Jerome has provided Melbourne Council with a copy of the CH2 sustainable building materials critique showing further improvements are possible to Melbourne's original 6 Green Star building. The critique achieved a high distinction from RMIT Centre for Design. MCEC Website Awarded The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center has won the inaugural SmartCompany Web Award in the category of ‘Best Design'. Jerome has one of best Mo's in Melbourne that this month's tour participants have already found out. 14th November 2009 MELTours @ AC/DC Family Jewels Jerome has been to the exhibition 2 days in a row - the second with a Laneways group. Playing the 'Guitar Hero'd guitar was lots of fun for all! The AC/DC Family Jewels exhibition is at the Arts Centre until the end of February. 12th November 2009 Bike Angel Those cyclists who rode through the High St & Westgarth St intersection would have seen Jerome fulfilling his last Bike Angel duty on the 11th with his big Movember Mo! 24th October 2009 MELTours Quality Control Feedback from every MELTours tour is collected and checked to make sure the booking process and the tour is delivered as well as possible.
